Glass partitions are used extensively throughout the project to provide physical subdivisions of the overall space while maintaining extended views between rooms and from one end of the house to the other. For example, the entrance vestibule and main staircase were conceived with maximum transparency to provide as much depth and grandeur to the living spaces as possible.

The central stringer stair is framed by structurally independent glass partitions and features cantilevered treads that appear to float. This also allows light to penetrate deeply into the house from all directions fulfilling the client’s wish to transform the original, segmented house into a bright, open series of visually interconnected spaces.

Further to the replanning of the spaces, we coordinated and supervised the installation of a new steel structure in the existing house and in the extension, the addition of new electrical, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning and smart home systems. In addition to the landscaping in the front and back of the house, which was completed during the building renovation and construction, the clients added a swimming pool to the backyard in 2020.
